All items listed on the Consent Agenda are considered to be routine or have been previously reviewed by the Town Council, and will be enacted in one motion. D.1 A MOTION TO APPROVE the waiver of interest for taxpayers in accordance with ordinance Section 70-90 "Waiver of interest on overdue quarterly property tax and utility payments."

 

D.2 A MOTION TO APPROVE real estate addendums in the amount of $14,035.24.

 

D.3 A MOTION TO GRANT permission to Kristen Krikorian and David Zoglio, Coastal Modular Homes of RI, to transport a modular home through the streets of Narragansett to 18 Pine Avenue, Assessor's Plat N Lot 126, on or around November 7, 2023, subject to local and state regulations.

 

D.4 A MOTION TO APPROVE the annual maintenance contract for the Police Department's audio recording system with Interaction Insight Corporation, in the amount of $2,880.00.

 

D.5 A MOTION TO APPROVE, RATIFY, AND CONFIRM the increase in cost for the rental of portable toilets for the months of September and October at Narragansett Town Beach, from Hallman's Portable Toilets, LLC, in the amount of $3,588.40.

 

D.6 A MOTION TO APPROVE the purchase of miscellaneous rope and rescue equipment for the Fire Department from New England Fire Equipment and Apparatus Corp., in the total amount of $3,200.00.

 

D.7 A MOTION TO APPROVE the one (1)-year contract extension for General Plumbing Services with Atlantic Control Systems, Inc. at their quoted rates and mark-up for parts, materials, and equipment, under the same terms and conditions as the original contract.

 

D.8 A MOTION TO APPROVE the one (1) -year contract extension for ADS Pipe for Public Works with Warwick Winwater Company at their bid prices, under the same terms and conditions as the original contract.

 

D.9 A MOTION TO APPROVE a petition from Narragansett Electric to install new Pole 15 on the South side of King Philip Road, fifty (50) feet west from Pole #1 on Col. John Gardner Road and on Col. John Gardner Road, install two hundred-fifty (250) feet of (2) 3" conduit from Pole 15 to new handholes on the customer property at 33 Col. John Gardner Road.

 

D.10 A MOTION TO AWARD the bid for the Purchase of Rescue Swimmer Equipment to the lowest bidder, Dan Enterprises Team, LLC at their quoted prices, in the total amount of $6,380.35.

 

D.11 A MOTION TO APPROVE the renewal of the support and subscription services to Fortinet Coterm for the primary Town firewall with Zones LLC, in the amount of $3,893.35.

POLICE DEPARTMENT

 

I.1 A MOTION TO APPROVE the purchase of ammunition for the Police Department from AAA Police Supply, in the amount of $15,930.00.

 

I.2 A MOTION TO APPROVE the annual contract for technical support for the Police Department's computer software system with Tritech Software Systems (Central Square) in the amount of $19,715.09.

 

J.

ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

 

J.1 A MOTION TO APPROVE the filling of one (1) vacancy, Water Operator, within the Water Division due to resignation, as well as any subsequent openings that may become available due to employee transfers.

 

J.2 A MOTION TO REJECT the the recommendations of the Sewer Policy Committee and APPROVE the waiver application for Plat V Lot 40 (649 Point Judith Road) on the basis that the proposed project will be permitted to connect to the privately owned sewer fronting the property if a waiver is granted, which was not documented at the time of the Sewer Policy Meeting.

 

K.

PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT

 

K.1 A MOTION TO READ, PASS AND ADOPT as a Second Reading, "An Ordinance in Amendment of Chapter 62 of the Code of Ordinances of the Town of Narragansett, RI", entitled, "An Ordinance in Relation to Solid Waste".

 

K.2 A MOTION TO AWARD the bid for Concrete Blocks & Related Materials to Oldcastle/APG New England at their quoted bid prices for a one (1)-year period, ending October 1, 2024.

 

K.3 A MOTION TO AWARD the bid for Frames and Grates; Manhole Rims and Covers to the lowest bidder, Ferguson Waterworks, at their quoted bid prices for a one (1)-year period, ending October 1, 2024.

 

EXECUTIVE SESSION

A MOTION TO RETIRE to Executive Session of the Town Council in accordance with RI General Laws §42-46-4 and §42-46-5(a) for the purpose of Collective Bargaining to discuss the labor contract for the RI Laborers' District Council, Local 1033 pursuant to §42-46-5(a)(2); and for the purpose of Personnel to accept modifications to the Employment Agreement for the Town Manager pursuant to §42-46-5(a)(1).
